Pattern of Written Test

(I) For CA,TA, ECRC & Goods Guard merit will be declared on the basis of marks acieved in CBT.

(II) For Senior Clerk Gum Typist, JAA, Sr. Time Keeper merit or selection will be declared on the basis of marks retained in exam and typing skill test.

(III) For ASM, Traffic Assistant Merit will be finalized on the basis of Aptitude Test organized.

Exam Pattern :- Railway Exam Pattern for these posts is as follows :

The written EXAM will be objective TYPE questions.

There will be 100 questions in a final paper.

The time period of test will be 01:30 hours (90 minutes).

There shall be negative marking of 1/3 marks for every answer.

Numerical Ability and Quantitative Aptitude:
Number System HCF and LCM Simplification Square roots and Cube roots
Averages Percentages Ages Profit and Loss
Ratio and Proportion Time and Work Time, Speed and Distance Problems on Trains
Boats and Streams Simple Interest Compound Interest Probability
Simple Algebra Trigonometry Area and Volumes Simple Geometry

General Knowledge : Questions in this section will be proposed for checking the Aplicant's general awareness regarding environment around him and its duties to society. Questions paper will also be asked to check knowledge of latest efforts and of such activities of each day observations and experience in their scientific section as may be projected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially (world) having History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Policy & Scientific Research. Questions from General Science may ask in Ample amount.
